About Tau Omega

About Tau Omega Chapter

The collegiate membership experience is based on these promises: to live our values, to learn, to lead, and to serve. Membership within Alpha Omicron Pi offers its members an exceptional experience through countless opportunities for personal and professional development. AOII offers four years of educational development that are tailored to women, helping our members to be the best they can be.

Since becoming part of Greek Life on Transylvania's campus, AOII has been an integral part of the campus community. As such, our chapter endeavors to improve the lives of its members and the campus communitiy through a committment to living our values by exhibiting strong character, dignity, scholarship, and college loyalty.

Since receiving our charter in 1987, Tau Omega has been committed to its submotto of "Tolerance and Oneness", representing well our chapter and Fraternity in all manner of activities both on and off campus. Members of AOII are leaders in the arts, athletics, community service, and pre-professional organizations. Our members are driven and service-oriented; and moreover, women find that with a network of supportive sisters that each member is enabled, indeed, inspired, to achieve her ambitions.

While collegiate membership in Alpha Omicron Pi fosters a memorable four-year experience at Transy, the lifelong bonds of friendship cultivated during those years and the lessons learned from the leadership opportunities afforded to members will undoubtedly last a lifetime.
