ABOUT OUR PHILANTHROPY

Arthritis

Alpha Omicron Pi’s international philanthropy is arthritis, and our philanthropy partner is the Arthritis Foundation. Since 1967, members and chapters have raised millions of dollars to fund research, provide resources, and support those affected by arthritis, a disease that disproportionately impacts women and also affects children.

AOII’s philanthropy dollars support several impactful Arthritis Foundation initiatives, including the Juvenile Arthritis Power Pack program, Juvenile Arthritis Camps, the Juvenile Arthritis Family Summit, and the 24/7 Helpline. Our Canadian sisters proudly support The Arthritis Society of Canada, furthering our shared mission to fight arthritis and improve lives.

OUR Local Efforts

At Tau Omega, we are proud to continue Alpha Omicron Pi’s legacy of service and commitment to making a meaningful impact in our community.Over the past year, our chapter has supported the AOII Foundation’s mission to raise awareness and provide support for those affected by arthritis. Sisters participated in our local Jingle Bell Run, hosted our Holiday Bingo fundraiser, and organized our annual Grill Out Arthritis event. Through these efforts, we have raised funds and strengthened our commitment to advancing arthritis awareness and outreach. In addition to our partnership with the AOII Foundation, Tau Omega is dedicated to serving the local community through our support of the Lexington Humane Society. We hosted a Candy Grams fundraiser benefiting the organization and regularly volunteer our time to support its mission of caring for animals in need.Through philanthropy and service, Tau Omega strives to make a lasting difference while living out our values of leadership, generosity, and sisterhood.
